A stock market is a public market for
the trading of company stock and derivatives at an agreed price; these are
securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately.
The Dutch East India Company in the year 1602 brought out first shares on the
Stock Exchange of Amsterdam and it was also the first stock exchange to bring
out bonds and stocks in the History of Stock Market. The stock market is often
considered the primary indicator of a country's economic strength and
development.

the shares can then be sold to other investors in the stock market.

adviser at a stock broking firm, or they can place their money with a fund
manager or financial institution.

electronic trading system with staff at stock broking firms.
