July 4 is celebrated as an Independence Day in United States. On July 4, 1776, US got independent from Britain and Democracy started. Apart from celebrating independence, 4of July is more about a chance for family and friends throughout the country to gather for barbecues and fireworks displays. This is the most important summer celebration when entire country has lots of fun. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political speeches and ceremonies, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.

Celebration in Washington DC: The best place to celebrate July 4th is Washington DC. The National Mall, with Washington DC's monuments and the U. S. Capitol in the background, forms a beautiful and patriotic backdrop to America's Independence Day celebrations. 4th of July Parade of Washington DC features marching bands, military and specialty units, floats, and VIP's. The parade draws a large crowd, so plan to arrive early to stake out a good viewing spot. 1: Fireworks: On Independence Day, firework is the most important event in America. America's second president John Adams first lit the fireworks spark when he said that the 4th of July. He started this celebration with pomp and parade and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other. Still now some 210 years later, Americans are still fulfilling Adams' vision for an illuminated Independence Day.

  • Washington DC: All eyes get fixed towards the sky when the nation's capital launches an awe-inspiring, thirty-minute fireworks display.
  • Seattle, WA: TIME Magazine calls Seattle's 4th of July fireworks show one of the top five displays in the country. Celebration is hosted on the banks of beautiful Lake Union.
  • Boston, MA: Boston gets crazy on 4th July. The best part of the festival is undoubtedly the 10:30 p.m. fireworks show, which features more than 20 thousand pounds of explosives with shells that climb to 1,500 feet.
  • Magic Kingdom, Disney World: Everyone's favorite Disney Park is the incomparable Magic Kingdom for Independence Day. After a jam-packed red, white and blue day, Magic Kingdom lights up the black sky (and Cinderella's Castle) with an unbelievable Fantasy in the Sky fireworks display. The best place to catch the show, which starts at 9 p.m., is from Main Street USA.

2: Barbecues: Like any other celebration, 4thJuly is also incomplete without food and fun.  Barbecues are always served in this celebration. Some famous barbecues are Potato Salad, Fresh Lemonade, pasta salad, Watermelon, Hot Dogs and Potato Chips.

3: Carnival: Carnival and 4 July has a very old connection. Carnival provides a salute to the wonderful occasion and brings together people of all ages for a grand celebration filled with fun rides and activities. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements of a circus, masque and public street party. People often dress up or masquerade during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life.

4: Baseball games: The 4th of July is the perfect time to play old American baseball game. After having parties and lunch people and even kids enjoy playing baseball on 4 July.

Best way to celebrate 4th July:

  • Invite all your friends and family for the celebration.
  • Keep a dress code and ask everyone to wear red, white and blue.
  • The entire decoration should be very much patriotic. Mix and match table cloth, napkins, cups etc in red, white and blue.
  • Food should be entirely American like Serve "all-American" foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, deviled eggs and all types of barbeques.
