A huge ice dam on Argentina's Perito Moreno glacier, 2800km southeast of Buenos Aires, has begun breaking apart for the first time in winter, as mentioned on news.com.au.
"Scientists and environmentalists said the unseasonal collapse of the 60m-high wall of ice during the southern hemisphere's winter months is most likely the result of global warming".
The ice wall, always breaks in summer, but, "It could be related to global warming as rising temperatures affect ice friction" said Los Glaciares National Park director Carlos Corvalan.
What else is global warming going to cost us? I guess we all just have to wait and see.
