This year is the 100th anniversary of the Titantic disaster, which has sparked a lot of renewed interest in the voyage. Visitors to the North Atlantic Sea may visit the Sea City Museum at the port in Southampton, the Titantic's departure point. Expeditions are also heading to the site of the Titantic wreck which allow folks to dive down to the wreckage for upwards of $65,000 per person. Cruises out to the site are also available for around $10,000 for the non-diving crowd.

Once part of the Netherlands Antilles, Curacao is celebrating their first year of independence in 2012. The Curacao Underwater Marine Park boasts magnificent snorkeling with its coral reefs and turquoise sea. Relax on white sand beaches and enjoy the colorful Dutch architecture on this Caribbean island of approximately 140,000 people.
End of the World Party - Belize
The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012, leading many to believe that it will be the end of the world. At the Mayan runes of Xunantunich, Belize will hold an end of the world party, with the main festivities happening on December 21st. The ruins are about 80 miles west of Belize City, close to the border of Guatemala. The party will include a fire ceremony, light show, and a concert. The name of the site means "Stone Woman," and it was so named for the ghost of a woman who is said to inhabit the site. Legend has it that she has fire-red, flowing eyes, and that she is dressed all in white.
