    • 1 pkg. Jiffy cornbread or muffin mix
    • 2 tbsp. sugar

    Mix all ingredients together. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 inch dish for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Fitness experts have confirmed the concept of snacking on foods at regular intervals throughout the day. This means you could actually loose weight by snacking - eating at regular interval.

    Why snacks?

    To lose extra pounds you need to increase metabolism and starving doesn't help. During dieting your body feels the lack of food, it tends to store fat after every single meal, thus reducing your metabolic rate. For instance, if you have your breakfast at 8 am and lunch at 1 pm, your body gets a signal that there is a long gap between meals and takes the scenario as emergency and thus tend to store a certain amount of fat. Eating light after short time intervals will help you burn more calories per hour than you would if you eat after long hours. This also keeps your digestive system working and increases your metabolic rate. Trainers suggest 5-6 small meals, distributed through the day, as an ideal way to boost metabolism.
