Wife of pregnant man speaks out

The wife of the man who's claimed he's pregnant has spoken out for the first time - to reveal the couple is taking a holiday, as published in Daily Mail.

Nancy Beatie and transgender husband Thomas Beatie, who have been together for ten years, went into hiding, after it was revealed that he was six months pregnant.

Mr Beatie announced the news of his pregnancy in gay magazine The Advocate and will be on Oprah, according to reports

Mr Beatie, who was known as Tracy LaGondino when he lived on the island of Oahu, fought for the right for gay couples to adopt children and battled hate crimes.

Mr Beatie's friends in Honolulu also told the local TV station KITV last night that when he was a woman, LaGondino was in love with his wife-to-be, who was known as Nancy Roberts at the time.

LaGondino soon after married Roberts after legally being declared a man and undergoing a sex change, where she became Thomas Beatie.
