Baklava or baklawa is a generic term for pastries made with flakey fillo pastry, crushed nuts, sweet sugar syrup or honey and plenty of unsalted butter or ghee (clarified butter). It's served all over the Middle East right to the Mediterranean and the Balkans.They can be scented with orange blossom water or rosewater, or in Greece, cinnamon.

Delicious Greek Cheese Pie

This is fairly easy and simple to make recipe, brilliant for lunch at work served hot, or warm. Or even why not take it when you go out on a family picnic. I love to experiment from different cuisines and this is one of my favorites. You can use any cheese, but l have found for taste, flavor and texture feta works best, Enjoy!
