Okra is traditional food eaten in Africa, this little-known vegetable has potential to improve nutrition, and it has a lot of fiber and vitamin C too. Try it!
Ingredients
- 1 Dozen medium size Okra (cut in half)
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
- 100g cooking chorizo (diced)
- Sea salt / ground black pepper to taste
Method
- With the frying pan OFF the fire, put olive oil, chopped garlic and diced chorizo in it, then heat the frying pan on a very low fire.
- Let the ingredients fry gently for 5-7 minutes without the garlic burning.
- As soon as the chorizo is crispy add the okra.
- Increase the fire to medium high and stir.
- After 2-3 minutes (before the okra becomes sticky) remove the frying pan from the fire, season and serve.
