Teething is a very important development in your child's body and every kid has a different experience. As a parent you have to take very good care of your child during the period of teething as the whole process is little painful for your child. The age at which the first tooth appears differs greatly from child to child. Usually, however, the first tooth - which tends to be in the middle of the lower jaw - appears at around six months of age. The complete set of 20 primary teeth (baby teeth) is usually present by the age of two-and-a-half years.
How do you know your baby has started teething?
How to help your child during teething:
The teething process will come and go just like so many other things with new babies. Keep trying different things until you find what provides the best relief for your child.
How many teeth come and at what age: In total there are twenty primary (first) teeth. Most children have a full set of primary teeth by the time they are around two or three years old.
Second molars: The second set of double teeth at the back. Mostly comes at the age of 2 to 3 years.
Don't worry if teething is delayed in your child's case. It's natural but you must contact doctor for proper checkup.
