Nursery Rhymes

My newphew and l were singing to my son one day but we both had different words to the same nursery rhymes, so l thought l would post the words of some of my favorite ones.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Itsy Bitsy spider climbing up the spout
Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
Now Itsy Bitsy spider went up the spout again!

(l was saying intsy wintsy spinder)

Rock a Bye Baby

Rock a bye baby on the tree top,
When the wind blows the cradle will rock,
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall,
And down will come baby, cradle and all.

Three Blind Mice

Three blind mice, three blind mice,
See how they run, see how they run,
They all ran after the farmer's wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,
Did you ever see such a thing in your life,
As three blind mice?

There was an Old Lady

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly
I don't know why she swallowed a fly - perhaps she'll die!

How absurd to swallow a bird.
