Pumpkins are essential to Halloween but unless you’re a master carver they can end up looking kind of frumpy. They can also be just plain boring. You see the same jack-o-lantern face block after block. Also, there are only two colors to choose from! How’s a gal supposed to unleash her creative genius with only two colors?!

The ladies have come up with decoupage pumpkins. They paint their pumpkins then apply lace applique. In detailed pictures they show all the steps and list all the items you’ll need. They girls over at honestlywtf chose to do their pumpkins in black and white.
The pumpkins have a Tim Burton feel to them. What’s more perfect for Halloween? You don’t necessarily have to go down the scary avenue though. Liven up your Halloween with some neon paint or animal fabric. Honestly, the skies the limit with these things. You could even try sequins or rhinestones and put them in groovy designs.
