We see the Divas, the WWE lady wrestlers, on TV week after week, and boy-oh-boy, most of them sure look good. And apart from looking good their wrestling skills are pretty good too.

But in an unladylike sport such as wrestling, which is fast, furious and violent, why is it that these women have such good figures without showing much sign of increased muscle development? And how do they manage to build up their strength to the point where they can pick up an opponent, who might weight 135 pounds or more, and slam her to the mat?

One would expect Divas to have body-builders’ physiques just like the male wrestlers, but although a few of them have pronounced muscles, most of them remain very curvy and feminine. It is clear that they have a way of building up strength without putting on extra muscle.

Well, they are young and they are athletes. And to be an athlete means spending hours working out every day, going through various exercises such as lunges, squats and leg curls, building up strength with vertical and shoulder presses, and running and jumping.

And diet is of great importance too, not only for divas but for everyone, including stay-at-home housewives and go-getting businesswomen. A good diet should focus on skim milk, plenty of fruit, baked potatoes (no butter or sour cream), egg whites (no yolks), high-fiber cereals and bread, proteins from non-meat sources such as soy and other types of beans, and last but not least a large and regular intake of water.

So becoming a Diva is not so easy – it requires time, determination and discipline. But for the average woman it’s not necessary to attain a Diva’s level of fitness - just following some of the Diva’s exercises and basing your food intake on the Diva’s diet outlined above will help give you the Diva look.
