Christina Applegate is suffering from Breast Cancer

Emmy Award winning American actress Christina Applegate is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She is just 36-year-old and was doing so well in career however destiny is always mightier than dreams. Ame Van Iden, publicist of Christina, gave a statement late Saturday:"Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."

An announcement confirming the diagnosis was delivered by a representative of the actress late Saturday on "Extra," the celebrity news show: "Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."

Last month it was announced that the actress Stand Up to Cancer, to be simultaneously broadcast on CBS, NBC and ABC. What irony! Applegate's mother is also a breast cancer survivor, so it could be hereditary.

Christina is known for playing Kelly Bundy on the long-running FOX Broadcasting Company sitcom Married... with Children. I loved her in that show, she was so dumb but funny at the same time. She has since established a film and television career, with major roles in several pictures, such as Farce of the Penguins, Anchorman, The Sweetest Thing, a Broadway revival of the musical Sweet Charity and is the lead character, Samantha Newly, in the ABC sitcom Samantha Who?
