A blister is a bubble of fluid under the skin. Blisters are the result of your body detecting damage and building up fluids that help repair your body and fight infection. Once the blister has done its job and rupture on its own, l know it's hard not to do it yourself though!
Types of Blister:
1. Friction Blister: A blister occurs when the outer layer of the skin separates from the fiber layer. The skin will re grow from underneath. The loose skin is dead. Blisters can occur from heat, frostbite, chemical injury, or friction.
2. Blood Blister: A blood blister usually develops following a smashing or pinching injury. There's a small skin injury that pumps blood between the skin layers, rising up a blister of blood. Blood blisters can usually be treated at home.
Should we pop Blister? The worst thing you can do with a blister is tear it or pop it on your own. Breaking the protective layer of skin will allow bacteria to enter the wound. If your blister does pop, you should wash with soap and water, and reapply an antibiotic cream to prevent infection. Always cover the wound with a light cotton gauze bandage. Neosporin is a good antibiotic cream.

Other symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough and muscle pain.
Treatment: If you already have a blister and it's not painful, just leave it alone. If the blister is painful, then you should boil a needle for 5-10 minutes in water and once cool, carefully pierce the blister. Press the fluid out and use an antiseptic cream on it. Cover the area with a products such Band-Aid Blister Block or moleskin to protect against infection and provide cushioning.
Blister Prevention:
*Taping is the method to protect the areas of the foot which are prone to blisters.
