We all know about Swine Flu it has grabbed the entire worlds attention. The World Health Organization (WHO) officials have already declared the new virus strain a worldwide epidemic due to its rapid spread through everyday human-to-human contact.
Swine Flu started in April 2009 in United
States and Mexico and slowly it has reached in
most of the parts of world. The World Health Organization declared the sixth stage of the transition mainly due to a rise in the "number of" cases in Australia, and not the result of the increase in "severe" or "seriousness" of the virus.
WHO suggested there is also no risk of infection from this virus from consumption of well-cooked pork and pork products. Individuals are advised to wash hands thoroughly with soap and water on a regular basis and should seek medical attention if they develop any symptoms of influenza-like illness. Individuals who are ill should delay travel plans and returning travelers who fall ill should seek appropriate medical care. These recommendations are prudent measures which can limit the spread of many communicable diseases, including influenza.
In the United States, most people who have become ill with the newly declared pandemic virus have recovered without requiring medical treatment, however, CDC anticipates that there will be more cases, more hospitalizations and more deaths associated with this pandemic in the coming days and weeks. Vaccines are a very important part of a response to pandemic influenza and the U.S. Government is aggressively taking early steps in the process to manufacture a novel H1N1 vaccine.
