Every girl's dream - Size Zero?

Nowadays there's a lot of debate going on about size zero. Is size zero beautiful or are fashion houses just creating anorexic girls as coat hangers to promote their designs? Size Zero is a women's clothing size in the US system equivalent to a UK size 4, with a waist measurement of a tiny 23 inches that'a only 54.5 cm! The average girth of an 8 year old girl. Experts say that being this thin can lead to loss of periods, hair falling out, dry skin and even thinning bones. However, fitness experts say that size zero is anorexic and not the correct way to lose weight.

Size zero is very unhealthy and the celebrities are setting a bad example to their fans. Some women try to attain it at whatever the cost to their long-term health and even fertility. It has become an obsession with many young girls. They starve themselves and then develop eating disorders. Instead of that, one should exercise regularly and have healthy eating habits, which will help the body to stay in shape. There has been a ban on the size zero models on the ramp following the controversy started in August 2007 when a Uraguayan model, Luisel Ramos, 22, died of heart failure after starving herself. And a 21-year-old Brazilian model, Ana Carolina Reston, died from anorexia.
