Smooth legs are a must for most ladies this summer, but the upkeep can be time consuming and annoying. Make your shave last longer with these tips.
- Exfoliate regularly - Use an exfoliating cream with fruit enzymes or salicylic acid on your legs regularly to help make sure that you don’t have hairs trapped under layers of dead skin. Then, when you DO shave, you can be sure you’re getting a close, smooth shave. Exfoliating also helps get rid of excess oils that may interfere with getting a close shave.
- Use the right razor – Always use a razor with multiple blades and one that is made for your specific skin. If your legs are dry, use a razor with a moisture strip. If your legs are sensitive, get a razor designed for sensitive skin.
- Soy moisturizer – Between shavings, use a moisturizer that has soy. Soy helps shrink the diameter of individual hairs and helps stunt the growth of hair.
- Mix it up – Try an alternative hair removal treatment between shaves. Sugaring, laser removal and waxing can give your legs a break from the shaving and they can be a nice, indulgent treat for yourself if you have them done professionally. Home hair removal products are also available as well as home remedy hair removal recipes.
