Hello Fall!
Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 29-Sep-2009

It's the transition of summer into winter and this fall has many fashion items and things we need to consider, but l guess that is for any season. I am a person that likes to keep everything, all l do is try and make my clothes item "in" by accessorizing and keeping with this seasons color schemes. I was taking to a friend who just loves to talk about fashion and she said this season it's all about "tomato sauce red, deep plum purple, beautiful sea blue...." What happened to just simply red, purple and blue? I guess l just a simple girl, lol. We have a group of female friends that are all different but together we compliment each other. So fellow girlfriends it's time to say "Hello Fall" and make it work this season. Here are some simple fashion tips to keep in mind when getting reading to hit the town.

  1. Boots are always in, so invest in a great pair that looks good but also you can walk with and if this your only pair so for a black pair. (I sometimes wonder how those girls can walk around with a pair of pointy boots that have pencil heels, how to they do that the whole day? I must say they look fantastic, but if l wear them l would just need to be sitting down the whole time, lol. So with fashion, l say yes choose something that is "in" fashion but also you need to be comfortable.
  2. Make-up, so with a natural look, but this age you should now what goes with your face and complexion, so stick to that. But as summer approaches choose pinks and when you go out at night give yourself those sexy smoky eyes, no man will be able to say no, ok maybe that's not true but here s to hoping. Also, remember to put in a bit of lippy, mascara. I always put on some gloss, and curl my eyelashes, which makes me feel more "beautiful". I tell my girlfriends that l cannot live without my lip gloss and eyelash curler, how about you?
  3. What to wear? They say that this season leopard is in fashion, but how many of us can pull off wearing leopard? This is where accessorizing for me comes into play, l would wear a brown top with a leopard belt, with leggings and long brown boots, plus we cannot forget the jewelry!

Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 28-Sep-2009

In women wardrobe  skirts are one of the favorites for girls of all age. Whether its formal or a party skirts always work great. There are many types and shapes of skirts available in market however you have to decide what will suit your figure. Let's explore some great fashion skirts and see if you can find one that is right for you!

High waist skirts

High waist skirts: One style that's been seen on many runways together with a great looking fashion belt. You could always use this belt as an eye catching point, so why not experiment.

Black bubble skirts: A bubble skirt is a skirt with a poof on the bottom, can either look cute and hip or totally unfashionable, depending on how you wear it and your body type (you know what l am saying you have seen someone where these skirts do not look good at all, lol). A wide waist band keeps your butt from looking to big and  a chunky will also look great.

Want to add style to your outfit - get a fashion scarf
Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 04-Feb-2009

Today fashion scarves are being worn by all the Hollywood celebrities. Starting from Madonna, Posh and David Beckham, Mischa Barton, the Olsens, Jessica Alba, Kisten Dunst, Sienna Miller and Fergie. So,  they have one thing in common and that is their love for scarves. The scarf has been the must-have accessory of the entire year-and its importance has just begun. Once reserved for the sole purpose of keeping warm, the scarf now enjoys neck time at any temperature. You can dress up an outfit just by adding one.

Types of Scarf for Indoor and Outdoor:

  • An outdoor scarf has that feeling of coziness and is heavier in weight. Wool or wool blends are better left for outings rather than a day at the office.
  • A lightweight silk or polyester scarf is a perfect accent to an indoor outfit.

Different looks:

Day look: For an elegant office look or to dress up any day outfit, add a silk scarf around your neck and anchor it as a bow. Throw a knitted, woven or silk scarf around your neck or through belt loops and you're ready to go for the day.

Evening look: Let the dark hues and sequins sparkle. Nighttime is the perfect opportunity to take out the satin or velvet scarf that is hid away at the bottom of your underwear drawer and let it be the final touch to your fall knit dress.

Winter Fashion Trends 2009
Pump it1 Dump it1      Posted on: 08-Jan-2009

Winter comes with snow, cold and freezing temperature so the best way to pamper yourself to shop for trendy winter wears which adds to fashion and protect you from cold too. From feather to fur, sky-scraper heels to bohemian boots let's check what hot this year. Winter is the time of year that our fashion designers claim to prefer designing for. With winter fashion comes textures, colors (although too often these are just shades of black and grey and crème!), trims, and multiple layers of clothing.

Looks in trend this season:

  • Oriental: The oriental look has made yet another come back. Think wrap around tops, satin fabrics, apple blossom prints, Chinese necklines, bright red, black, and yellow. This is quite a classic, simple trend to wear, and most oriental inspired designs can be easily worn with your favorite pair of jeans or skirt, making it easy to follow this trend by adding just one wrap top or Chinese neckline to your wardrobe.
  • Gothic: If you're going with this trend, keep an eye out for black clothes, tight fitting tops, black lace, long flowing skirts, and plenty of dark eye makeup and nail polish. You can get dressed up in all those long, flowing clothes, and swish your way dramatically around town.
  • Military: The military look is still around, despite it having been in our wardrobes for a few years now. And it's still a good, comfortable option. Epaulets are popping up on jackets and jerseys, and wide rib jerseys are all over the place.
