Not all of us can pull off the Miley Cyrus platinum punk pixie cut, (although I for one wish I could – imagine how easy it would be to take care of super short hair!) And although Christina Aguilera may have only recently caught on to the ombre hair trend, the rest of us have been down with ombre for at least a few (if not five) years now.
So what fun and exciting new hair trends are out there for the rest of us this fall?
Straight Locks, Long Bangs
I’ve always been a fan of bangs and I’m honestly a bit sad when they’re out of style. I also love to mix things up by flat ironing my long (naturally curly) locks from time to time. As you may guess, I’m doubly happy about straight hair with long bangs look.
The lovely Anna Faris (shown above) pulls off this look really well, but you don’t have to be platinum blonde to look great with this hot style. In fact, for many lovely ladies, darker locks add to the appeal of this look by creating the perfect contrasting frame for your face.
This especially works great for ladies with big and beautiful eyes as it draws attention in and straight to those great peepers. With dramatic eye makeup for a night on the town or a totally non-makeup day at the beach, straight hair and long bangs look great.
Turn up the Volume
Is humidity wreaking havoc that’s hard to repair? Just go with it! Turn up the volume on your style by teasing your hair on the top and sides for a sexy and playful look.
Actress Anna Paquin, (from True Blood on HBO) does this look well. She often teases her hair out for volume and then pulls it back in a lovely bun for an elegant and sexy look that’s often otherwise hard to obtain with a bun and other pulled-back styles.
Super Long Extensions
Whether you’ve already tried the pixie cut or you just long for lengthier locks, opt for super long extensions this year. Singer, actress, and fashion designer Amanda Bynes does this look well. She often wears hers parted in the middle with loose spiral curls at the ends for a sexy and stylish look that your man is sure to love.
