Steps for pedicure:
- Using nail polish remover
and cotton balls remove old nail polish completely. If the color is not coming off
the press the cotton on to the nail and let it soak for a while.
- Cut your nails properly and file them
to your desire shape. Do not let your nail extend over the tip of your toe.
- Prepare the foot bath with warm water; fill
a basin with a gallon of warm water and add bath salts,
essential oils or lemon juice and let your feet soak for 20 minutes to soften
calluses and corns. If possible add about quarter cup of milk to the warm
water. Lactic acid in the milk loosens dead skin.
- Apply cuticle remove to the
base of each nail and rub in. Wait for a minute and then using an orangewood
stick; slowly push the skin back where it meets the nail.
- Apply the scrub and a foot
file on your feet to remove the dead skin on the balls and heels of your feet.
Make sure every area is treated. Don't rub hard. Wash it out with the foot
bath water, dry the feet thoroughly including between the toes and move the
foot bath to the side.
- Apply nourishing foot cream
or oil to the nail and massage the cuticles.
- Using a cuticle stick, push
the skin back gently. Before toenails can be polished, cuticles need to be
minimized so that nails are sleek and color may be more easily applied.
- Get your feet file and pass it on the rough areas. Work slowly
so that nails that have been weakened by breaks do not tear or split from
filing.
- Apply the first coat of your favorite nail paint and wait for 2-3
minutes and then apply the second coat. Do not paint cuticles. Use orangewood
stick wrapped in cotton dipped in nail polish remover to remove excess nail
polish.
- Let your nails dry completely and you are done with your pedicure.
Trust me your feet will love you for this care.
