Australia's largest department store, Myer, will open its first overseas store in Dubai late next year, with plans to open another four across the United Arab Emirates and eventually break into the growing Eastern European market. Myer's chief executive, Bernie Brookes, said Dubai was the obvious choice for the first international store because the city was recognised as the shopping hub of the region and was one of the most "densely shopped cities" in the world, as mentioned on smh.com.au.
This will allow Myer to become "international" Dubai has 3 of the 10 largest shopping malls!

Myer will open in the new Ibn Battuta Mall in partnership with Nakheel Retail who is a part of the Dubai World group of companies, which has developed properties including the man-made Palm and World island developments. So here is to all the Arabs wearing brands like RipCurl and ugg boots!
