Winter Fashion Trends 2009

Winter comes with snow, cold and freezing temperature so the best way to pamper yourself to shop for trendy winter wears which adds to fashion and protect you from cold too. From feather to fur, sky-scraper heels to bohemian boots let's check what hot this year. Winter is the time of year that our fashion designers claim to prefer designing for. With winter fashion comes textures, colors (although too often these are just shades of black and grey and crème!), trims, and multiple layers of clothing.

Looks in trend this season:

• Oriental: The oriental look has made yet another come back. Think wrap around tops, satin fabrics, apple blossom prints, Chinese necklines, bright red, black, and yellow. This is quite a classic, simple trend to wear, and most oriental inspired designs can be easily worn with your favorite pair of jeans or skirt, making it easy to follow this trend by adding just one wrap top or Chinese neckline to your wardrobe.
• Gothic: If you're going with this trend, keep an eye out for black clothes, tight fitting tops, black lace, long flowing skirts, and plenty of dark eye makeup and nail polish. You can get dressed up in all those long, flowing clothes, and swish your way dramatically around town.
• Military: The military look is still around, despite it having been in our wardrobes for a few years now. And it's still a good, comfortable option. Epaulets are popping up on jackets and jerseys, and wide rib jerseys are all over the place.

Trendy Winter Clothes:

• Coats: A good Italian or French wool coat will last you 3 years minimum and you'll be seen wearing it most of the time! So it's really worth to buy a designer piece in which you will look good. In terms of colors, black, brown and gray are the traditional hues for winter coats and you will see these colors on most women, but if you truly want to stand out from the winter crowd, a little attitude is not bad.

• Bomber jackets: Bomber jackets are short (usually around waist-length), square jackets. They are quite a casual jacket option, and go well with your favorite pair of jeans. A classic style, they are always around, but have been pushed closer to the forefront of the fashion trends for this winter.
• Fur Coats: Fur is the essence of  the rich and queen-like. Although, the good news is that fake fur became such an important part of fashion, one can easily find a piece that will look even more gorgeous than the real thing!
• Mini skirts: Mini skirts are yet again attempting to make a comeback this winter. But I do not know why, but if you're not going to be outside for long periods of time, and you have some good warm boots and a jersey, you can try this trend as well. Just make sure that your skirt is in a reasonably heavy weight fabric, like wool or denim.
• Cashmere: Cashmere jacket, coats, pants, scarves, pashmina and even pajamas - perfect for the winter! It's strong, light, soft and so warm! A fashionable way to stay cozy during these winter months.
• Shoes and Boots: This winter, ankle high booties are very hot. Also seen in the runway and fashion magazines are knee high boots, laced-up boots and cut-out shoes.

Mixing fashion types is a good idea but beware before trying as it can also very easy to get wrong!! So shop the most fashionable winter wears and always remember along with fashion your clothes should be warm enough to protect you from the cold.
