Mascara should be thrown away after six months and never be shared. Also when applying do not pump the wand, this just makes it dry out faster.

Foundations, lipstick and powders have a shelf life of up to one year.

Remember to also get rid of your make-up sponges on a regular basis, so that you are only using clean ones. Old make-up and sponges can lead to infection and/or break-outs, so why risk it!
