OK this is for the ladies who are too frugal to buy a Halloween costume and my major procrastinators.
I’ve got three last minute Halloween costume ideas that will cost you little to no money and are made using things you already own.
The best part about these costumes is that they are witty.
Ceiling Fan
NO, you’re not going to be an actual ceiling fan. You are going to be an avid supporter of the ceiling. All you need is a plain sweatshirt and heavy-duty tape. Make sure the tape you use won’t come off your clothes. No masking tape! Use duck tape, electrical tape, or decorate and repair tape. You can find all these at your local hardware store.
Now all you have to do is spell out GO CEILING! in tape on your sweatshirt. To really complete this look I would pair it with a pleated skirt and cute sneakers. Rock a ponytail as your ‘do. If you want to be really Gung-ho about this you could add pompoms, a megaphone or one of those huge foam fingers.
Fashion Blogger
This costume will literally cost you NO MONEY! You just have to use things that are already in your closet. The trick here is to wear as many trends as you can at once. A good combination would be floral jeans, a bright color blocked top, and a faux fur vest. Some Good accessories for this are tons of jewelry, a couple of purses, and a camera. To complete the look wear your hair in a bun and red lipstick.
You really have to play this one up or people may not know what you are. Constantly be snapping pictures of people’s outfits with your phone and then pretend to blog about it. Give out fashion advice. You could hand out business cards or carry around a fake MacBook.
Self Portrait
This last one takes almost no time at all. All you need to do is find a frame big enough to fit over your head. Go to your local second hand store and I’m sure you’ll find some gems. To really jazz up this costume, don your Sunday best.
Good luck! If you have any last minute costume ideas tell us about them in the comments.
