Review - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 29-Jul-2009

The Harry Potter films have always come up with some great fantasy series based on the series of seven Harry Potter novels. Once again Warner Brothers has released the next series of Harry potter, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Movie has got 4 stars and running house full all around. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince not only stands head and shoulders above the previous five films, but that it's terrific entertainment in its own right. The actors, who are getting on a bit and have been plotting post-Potter careers, come across as newly-liberated and energized, eager to give all they have to what's left of the series.

Review - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Story Line: Voldemort is tightening his clutch on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast forthcoming. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unwary bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds vital information. In the meantime, the students are under attack from a very unusual adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more haggard to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has determined that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simmering with envy but determined not to illustrate her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains distant. He is gritty to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts possibly will never be the alike again.

Role Models- A must see for a laugh!
Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 14-Nov-2008

This is the kind of movie where you expect all the funny parts to be what you saw in the trailer spots on TV. It starts a bit slow and no doubt about it, this movie is crude, vulgar, childish, nerdy and hilarious. Directed by actor and filmmaker David Wain and written by Paul Rudd.

role-models

Role Models is a comedy about two loser-slacker- underachievers (they hawk energy drinks at public schools, we all know or knew of people like that in) Each of them has to play big brother to a kid with major adjustment problems. Wheeler (Seann William Scott) loves his work, but Danny (Paul Rudd), who suspects the drink may be poisonous, loathes it. He vents his discontent to his girlfriend, Beth (Elizabeth Banks), a successful lawyer, who becomes so fed up with his bellyaching that she dumps him. After an especially dismal presentation in which Danny veers off script and disparages Minotaur, he goes ballistic in a traffic dispute that destroys the company truck; both he and Wheeler receive 30-day jail sentences. The unlikely pairing of Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd pays off big time. They balance each other out, and both get their fair share of laughs.

Movie Review of Burn After Reading
Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 23-Sep-2008

Burn After Reading is the Coen brother's (Joel and Ethan Coen) first original screenplay since The Man Who Wasn't There back in 2001. As we know their urge for comic taste, creative violence and a slightly mocking eye for detail are very much visible in this movie. The main star casts of the movie are George Clooney, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and none other than Brad Pitt. What a line up!

brad pitt

It is a great spy film, and it's hard to think of anyone less suited to a life of crime than Pitt's character Chad. Chad is a bouncing puppy of a man; a fitness trainer at Hard Bodies gym and the best buddy of fellow Hard Bodies employee Linda (McDormand). Linda has an aching loneliness inside which she attempts to fill with unrewarding hook ups on Internet dating sites and the dream of a new life bought through extensive cosmetic surgery. But all the butt-sculpting and face-stretching that she requires comes at a price, so when the gym cleaner finds a disk that appears to contain what Chad describes as "top secret sensitive shit" Linda scents the chance of a windfall and Chad skips happily along beside her.

Bangkok Dangerous Movie Review
Pump it0 Dump it0      Posted on: 11-Sep-2008

Bangkok Dangerous is directed by the brothers, Oxide and Danny Pang who made the popular Hong Kong action film of the same name - Bangkok Dangerous? in?1999. So you could say that this film is a sort of remake. However the best part of the film is the fact that the Academy Award-winning American actor Nicolas Cage as Joe a world-weary hit man on an assignment in the Thai capital is the central character.

Ben Stiller, Tom Cruiuse in Tropic Thunder - Movie Review
Pump it1 Dump it0      Posted on: 26-Aug-2008

If you wish to enjoy the flavor of both comedy and action "Tropic Thunder" is the perfect entertainment source for you. The film centers around three protagonists: Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Tom Cruuise and Robert Downey Jr. I think the movie never fails to entertain.

Tropic Thunder is a good time must see with a friend you can also laugh and enjoy the movie with. Despite the rough patches, the movie allows Stiller to blow up stuff in a handsome fashion all the while lampooning the industry and his fellow actors, whose bloated ego and sycophantic "yes men" blind them to the inanities of their lifestyle choices and personalities. Oh and there's Booty Sweat. How can one not laugh?

As mentioned winnipegsun.com, The Dark Knight is beyond any reasonable expectation. It's a phenomenon," says Brandon Gray, president and publisher of online tracking site Box Office Mojo. Premiering in a historic 4,366 theatres and buoyed by overwhelmingly positive reviews, The Dark Knight posted the biggest midnight opening ever Thursday night with $18.5 million -- topping Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith's $16 million. Now that is some big numbers.
