Inauguration ceremony of President Obama will be really musical. And the big names are Beyonce, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson.

The R&B superstar will be performing the National Anthem at the Jan. 21 ceremony, which will take place at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, the Presidential Inaugural Committee tells PEOPLE. And she will be joined by an equally auspicious roster of singers: Kelly Clarkson will perform "My Country 'Tis of Thee" this year (that honor went to Aretha Franklin ... and her infamous hat in 2009), while James Taylor will sing "America the Beautiful."

This is not the first time for Beyonce, she performed Etta James's classic, "At Last," while the President and Michelle Obama took their first dance during the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball in 2009.

More announcements about entertainment at the inauguration are expected in coming days.

As per the Constitution, Obama will officially take the oath of office at the White House on Jan. 20, but the repeat swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural parade, the lunch with Congress and the inaugural balls is scheduled for Monday.

There are high probabilities of a war between the Obamas and the Kardashian family. Kardashian family is not at all happy with the recent comments of Obama's about the reality television stars and they have given a tough answer in revenge. Now Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian have hit an all-time low by going after First Lady Michelle Obama and her wardrobe, calling it "pretend poor" and "cheap suburban tacky" among other things.

According to the National Enquirer the sisters have gone on a rampage by dissing the First Lady, saying her clothes are selected to "keep voters on a budget" and that the President's wife is "two-faced" and worships the lifestyle the Kardashians lead by taking "every vacation she can."

Meanwhile, the President said that he's never watched Keeping up with the Kardashians during an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
"No I haven't seen the show," Obama said."I am probably a little biased against reality TV, partly because there's this program on C-Span called Congress that I...." he said while the audience laughed before continuing, "No I have not seen the show."

Let's hope, this cold war comes to an end soon.

Elizabeth Edwards, a forceful political wife and a best-selling author writing about her battle with cancer died Tuesday after a six-year struggle with cancer. She was 61. She died at her North Carolina home surrounded by her three children, siblings, friends and her estranged husband, John, the family said.

"Today we have lost the comfort of Elizabeth's presence, but she remains the heart of this family," the family said in a statement. "We love her and will never know anyone more inspiring or full of life. On behalf of Elizabeth we want to express our gratitude to the thousands of kindred spirits who moved and inspired her along the way. Your support and prayers touched our entire family."

Breast cancer was first diagnosed in 2004. The family issued a statement Monday saying further treatment would be unproductive. She told People magazine in June that the cancer had spread with tumors in her skull, spine and legs.

Elizabeth Edwards had focused in recent years on advocating health care reform, often wondering aloud about the plight of those who faced the same of kind of physical struggles she did but without her personal wealth. A great lady and a great fighter!

Obama said he spoke to John Edwards and the Edwardses' adult daughter, Cate, on Tuesday to offer condolences.

"In her life, Elizabeth Edwards knew tragedy and pain," Obama said in a statement. "Many others would have turned inward; many others in the face of such adversity would have given up. But through all that she endured, Elizabeth revealed a kind of fortitude and grace that will long remain a source of inspiration."

The president called her a tenacious advocate for fixing the health care system and fighting poverty. "Our country has benefited from the voice she gave to the cause of building a society that lifts up all those left behind," Obama said.

Mariah Carey sang at the Neighborhood Ball for the President and Michelle Obama, though, it was hard for Mariah Carey to accept the way she was treated. Can you believe, the organizers treated her like a common celebrity and her sitting arrangement was with low rent celebrities? Oh poor thing! A spy said, "Mariah was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated. But somehow she thought she'd be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn't, she bailed."

On the other hand Carey ex Sean Combs is said to be upset that he wasn't invited to perform at official events and disappointed that Jay-Z had a bigger presence. A rep for Carey declined to comment. Combs' rep said, "It was one of the greatest moments of his life. Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony."
