    yeah yeah yeahs

They’re back people. The banshee screams, the insane outfits and the guitar shredding.

After a four-year break from the scene the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are coming back at us full force with a new album in April. To quell our appetites they debuted two new songs in Pomona, California at the Glass house.

Karen O was full fledged in a sequined red tuxedo, sequined zebra cape and sequined silver mask! It’s so good people. Karen has even ditched her raven bowl cut for a bleach blonde hack job that fits her. Check out the songs here and here.

The first song in entitled Suck Young Blood. The second has yet to be christened.

To kick off their tour they will be blessing the patrons of Coachella with a performance.  They are set to open the festival on April 13th. Yours truly will be attending. Try not to hate me. I’ll come back with a full report, don’t worry. You can check out the full line up here.

Since their 2009 LP It’s Blitz the Yeah Yeah Yeahs haven’t done much but Karen O teamed up with some kids to write the sound track to 2009’sWhere the Wild Things Are. In 2011 she teamed up with Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor to cover Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song. She also recorded Strange Love for the Frankenweenie soundtrack.

Listen to Immigrant Song here and Strange Love here.

How stoked are you to have you ear drums bleed along to the new Yeah Yeah Yeah’s LP? Let us know in the comments below.

Carrie Underwood was an opening act at the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, April 1 and she was just amazing!

From on-stage collaborations (Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw) to A-List couples (McGraw and Faith Hill) to the triumphant winners (Taylor Swift, who took home the top prize for Entertainer of the Year), there was no shortage of memorable moments. There was a little surprise when Taylor Swift won entertainer of the year at the awards however she showed little surprise when her name was called.

Miranda Lambert and the duo of Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson were the top winners with two trophies each and their early victories overshadowed Swift initially. Lambert took her third consecutive female vocalist award, and was matched by husband Shelton, who ended Brad Paisley's five-year run in the male vocalist category. She also won album of the year for a record-tying third time for "Four the Record." Aldean and Clarkson won single record and vocal event of the year for their steamy duet "Don't You Wanna Stay."

    Best Performance

Toby Keith stormed the MGM Grand audience for a rousing rendition of his hit drinking song "Red Solo Cup," which had everyone from Faith Hill to Eric Church singing along.

    Most Romantic Moment
The on-stage matrimony of Christina Davidson and Frank Tucci, who met in a support group after each of their first spouses passed away was seen. The couple exchanged vows on stage to Train's wedding favorite "Marry Me," which was performed by Pat Monahan and Martina McBride.

    Cutest Moment
A beaming Shelton introduced "the most important person in my life," his wife Miranda Lambert, whom he proudly called "Miranda Lambert-Shelton," before her performance. Awwww!

With two weeks of combined scores, Martina Navratilova, Melissa Gilbert, Gavin DeGraw and Gladys Knight ranked lowest among the 12 couples on the show. But which celebrity and their pro partner were in jeopardy of heading home once votes were added into the equation? Guess who was the first to leave the ballroom this season?

Head judge Len Goodman considered Season 14 of Dancing with the Stars the most impressive debut in the show's history. But it's a competition - and somebody had to go. Martina and her partner Tony Dovolani were sent home.

"It was an amazing experience. I just wish it could have lasted longer. I'd give anything I had, but I blew it yesterday and it cost me, unfortunately," the tennis icon said. "I wish everybody great luck."

Joining her in the bottom: Gavin and his partner Karina Smirnoff, who blogged earlier this week that they needed to "step it up" after their first performance.

Gavin told host Tom Bergeron that his strategy going forward would be to, "improve about five points out of ten."

However couples are longtime friends before things turned romantic in recent months."Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now," Bowersox tells PEOPLE. Their rings were designed by Walker and crafted by Chicago's Traci Coughlin and Steve Quick Jewelers.

There were 60 friends and family in the ceremony along with Bowersox's son Tony, 1 1/2, from a previous relationship.
