Ok I will be the first to admit how much I love to shop. My closet speaks for itself. I do think though that I have a little restraint. My famous friends on the other hand, seem to have a problem saying no to themselves. Then again, you make money to spend money right? Let’s take a look at some of the recent purchases of celebrities.

Lady Gaga just dropped $60,000 on Koi Carp that came straight from the Land of Rising Sun. I just hope they don’t die.

OK this one is just plain sad. The rapper Drake threw $50,000 worth of bills on stage at a strip club... in South Carolina. Guess those girls are done stripping their way through college.

When they were still together Tom Cruise gave Katie Holmes a $20 million jet. The same one she used to escape his clutches.

I have no idea how much this one cost but it’s just weird. Angelina Jolie gave Brad Pitt a waterfall to build his dream house on. How does one go about procuring a waterfall? What kind of real estate license does one need to be selling a waterfall? STRANGE.

This purchase is actually really cool and I would totally splurge on art if I could. Sandra Bullock snagged Andy Warhol’s Peaches for $14,000 as a gift for her baby, Louis Bullock. If Andy where alive he would probably say something like, “Oh Well I think that’s just such a neat idea, to give your baby art, ya know?”

So these are just a few favorites that stood out to me. Do you know of any crazy celebrity shopping sprees? If so share in the comments below.

Not necessarily a jack-of-all-trades, but he did add something else to his resume; actor Brad Pitt is coming out with a high end, limited production furniture line.

Brad Pitt has said that his love of design started back in college when he discovered Frank Lloyd Wright. He has been sketching his own creations ever since.

Now Pitt has collaborated with Frank Pollaro to create an illustrious line of furniture that is sure to be show stopping. The exhibition will be on view in New York City from November 13th through the 15th. You can register at Pollaro.com for more information.

Although this is his first furniture line, this is not the first time Pitt has been in the design production arena. His foundation Make It Right, hires noteworthy architects to design homes for post Katrina New Orleans.

As for Frank Pollaro, he owns a New Jersey firm that is known for its skillful renditions of Art Deco furniture.

The two came together to create this incredible line over two years ago. It started when Pollaro noticed Pitt’s sketchpad. He convinced Pitt to turn his visions into reality.

The line includes a bed, a dining table, side tables, a cocktail table, a bath tub made from Statuario Venato marble, and an assortment of club chairs.

The prices for these pieces are astronomical (one of the chairs is going for $45,000) due to the finery and engineering it took to create them. Down the line they hope to make large-scale production versions of some of the pieces.

For those of us who won’t be able to attend the unmasking of these fabulous creations you can check out the line starting November 11th at Pitt-Pollaro.com

Angelina Jolie, fiance Brad Pitt and four of their children surprised locals on Saturday when they visited the coastal town of Le Touquet, France for some family fun.

The first thing on the Jolie-Pitt family's agenda was lunch at Au Bureau on Rue de Londres. Nestled in the back of the crowded restaurant, Jolie and Pitt ordered up five pizzas for Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 6, Knox, 4, and Vivienne, 4.

Then, it was time to shop! The famous family stopped into Culture Kid, a small family-owned toy shop. The Jolie-Pitt kids scooped up dinosaur figurines, dolls, Barbie clothes, rubber stamps and more for around $215.

"I wasn't notified of their visit. I didn't expect it. I didn't even recognize them. I said 'Bonjour' like I do to all my clients and then I saw Brad Pitt," says one employee.

"I asked him for an autograph."

"Since Angelina was here with her son last year, the shop has moved, but they found us. I think she must really love the store," the employee adds.
