Few days back Mischa Barton was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold (also known as a 5150) by the Los Angeles Police. Barton was hospitalized under section 5150 of the California Welfare & Institutions Code, allowing authorities to hold people up to 72 hours if they present a danger to themselves or others. Not only this, the actress was arrested last year on DUI and marijuana possession charges in L.A. during a break from filming ''Homecoming'' in Pittsburgh. Despite of her nervous breakdown presently she is doing fine but still Mischa Barton's publicist and the spokes folks and cast of Barton's upcoming TV show ''The Beautiful Life,'' and her close friends are worried.

One Barton buddy tells me, ''There still are issues. Mischa's just not herself at all. I think she's gone back to work too soon.'' Longtime professional associate of Barton's said, ''She's on the verge of another breakdown -- one I think could be even more serious than the last one. ... She cries for no reason."
