Actress Katie Holmes was shooting for her upcoming movie, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, in Victoria, Australia over the weekend. In the film - based on a remake of a 1973 ABC TV movie, Tom Cruise's wife plays a woman stalked by evil gnomes. Holmes was shooting a scene inside a car when the vehicle's battery exploded, sparking smoke and fumes, before the car then caught fire. The exploding battery was not a part of the film. Katie somehow managed to escape the injury. It is a horror movie and it brought horror to Katie's life, lol.
"Katie was very shaken by the ordeal," a source told Mail Online. "She took the rest of the day off while special effects staff looked over the faults. Katie has filmed scenes since but it has made her think about her safety on set. She will be shooting the same scene at a later date." Thank God, No one was injured in the explosion. Have a look on the pictures of Katie on the set.
