The Beautiful Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana

Today's teen sensation of Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" hit TV show, Miley Cyrus is growing up like anything. She has become the heartthrob of younger generation and everyone has blocked their time to enjoy Hannah Montana. (And yes she is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, aka "Achy Breaky Heart!).

Miley Ray Cyrus was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on November 23, 1992, so that makes her only 15 years of age! Her birth name is Destiny Hope Cyrus but she better known by her stage name Miley Cyrus. Miley became an overnight sensation after Hannah Montana debuted in March 2006.

Following the success of the show, in October 2006, a soundtrack CD was released in which she sang eight songs from the show. In December 2007, she was ranked #17 in the list of Forbes Top twenty earners under 25 with an annual earning of US$3.5 million. As of December 2007, she is working on a movie spin-off of Hannah Montana, titled Hannah Montana: The Movie, which is due to be released on May 1, 2009.

Cyrus became interested in acting at age nine when the family briefly lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where she was a guest star on her father's television series Doc. Cyrus was twelve years old when she originally auditioned for Disney for the lead role of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana, as well as the show's "best friend" roles but Disney Channel executives judged her to be too small. Cyrus was persistent in her desire to be part of Hannah Montana, however, so in the end she landed this role. According to Disney Channel Executive Vice President Gary Marsh, Cyrus was chosen for the show because of her energetic and lively performance and was seen as a person who "loves every minute of life".

Miley Cyrus is growing up fast; she is releasing a new album on July 22 called "Breakout." She wrote all the songs except two of this new album. "Songwriting is what I really want to do with my life forever," Cyrus told Billboard magazine in a front-cover photo shoot and interview last month. "I just hope this record showcases that, more than anything, I'm a writer."

Her free concert for ABC's Good Morning America on July 18 was a big hit. She said during the show that "I'm excited to be here," Miley said as she looked out into the crowd. "The last time I was here, it was as Hannah Montana. There was a bunch of people but I think we've doubled it this time! I'm totally stoked!"
