Christie Brinkley finally settles divorce battle

Christie Brinkley agreed to pay her fourth husband Peter Cook $ 2.1 million in an out-of-court settlement that brought their lurid divorce trial to an abrupt end. Christie Brinkley gained sole custody of her kids Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10.

She will also keep 18 disputed properties in the Hamptons on Long Island and in the Turks and Caicos islands (yes l said 18!!!). The settlement was reached after an all-night legal session in which the couples and their legal teams occupied separate suites at a hotel.

"So now that a settlement has been reached and the trial is over, what is Brinkley's mindset?" when this was asked to Jill Rappaport - Christie's best friend she said "I don't think overjoyed is the right word," Rappaport concluded. "It's the death of a marriage...it's the end of a major chapter in her (Brinkley's) life and a very painful one."

But, the 18 properties and all that money she has, plus the kids, l think would ease it a little (lol).
