I thought this couple was one to last forever. A role model for all the rest of us, if they can make it, then us "normal" people can too!
The glamour couple, now rarely seen together in public, have been living virtually separate lives in their 6 million (pounds) London mansion for months, as reported by Mirror.co.uk.
"Both acknowledge their tempestuous romance is over. But they insist there is no bitterness or blame and say there is no one else involved.
A close friend also said "They're obviously sad but they're dealing with it like grown ups. While they'll be the first to admit they have a somewhat fiery relationship, above all there's a deep respect for each other.
A formal announcement about the marriage is likely to be made at the end of Madonna's world tour, which finishes in Mexico on November 29.
The couple who live more like brother and sister insist their priority now is to provide stability for their children. "But they have just grown apart. They've decided they're better off as friends. It's sad, but they're determined to keep it amicable."
To top it off Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone, is set to publish a tell all book about her sex life and former drug use. In it he blames her past lifestyle for her marriage break-up.
He claims she has made no secret of her flings with women, once told him she was a lesbian. He also accuses Guy, 39, of being more a glorified babysitter than a husband.
An insider revealed: "Madonna is very saddened by Christopher's behavior. As far as she's concerned her brother going public about her is the ultimate betrayal.
