When the whole of America is suffering financially due to the recession, Disney's darling pop star Miley Cyrus is paid between $200k and $500k to play at the annual "Christmas Cheers and Charity" party of a Houston law firm. Amazing! I wish I was also in the same profession.

The annual event will be held next month at the ranch home of Houston lawyer Mark Lanier and his wife, Becky. "We do have limited room. We'd love to be able to invite the world, but we can't," said Mark Lanier. "We're excited." Cyrus will be sharing the stage with a guitar-wielding Santa and singing elves.
