Don Cornelius beat up his wife

Don Cornelius an African-American television show host and producer who is best known as the host of the nationally syndicated dance/music program, Soul Train, was arrested over the weekend because of the charge of felony domestic violence. Officer Sam Park said Police were called to his Hollywood Hills home late Friday after someone reported a domestic dispute. He was taken to the LAPD jail in Van Nuys where his bail was set at $50,000 and he was released at 5 AM.

Cornelius, 72, is married to Victoria although the identity of the victim has not been released. The victim was not taken to the hospital and injuries are unknown. Police have not released any information regarding who Cornelius allegedly assaulted, but he lives at home with his wife. Cornelius is expected to appear in court on November 14, 2008. If Cornelius has really beaten his wife, it's a very shameful act.
