Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez now officially divorced

Famous American third baseman Alex Rodriguez commonly known as A-Rod and his wife Cynthia, a psychology professor are no more together. They got divorced as confirmed by their lawyer on Friday.

However in the beginning it was very difficult but now Cynthia Rodriguez is happy with the result of her divorce settlement with Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, a source tells PEOPLE. "Cynthia is in New York for a few days and quite happy with the divorce settlement," says a source close to her. "It is all settled and each Rodriguez is ready to move on."

Divorce was filed by Cynthia, 35 in July and she has claimed their $12 million Florida mansion. She also wanted a part of Alex's earning during their marriage. Rodriguez is expected to earn $28 million this season. Big Figure, now she is one smart cookie!

The couple has two children, Natasha, 3, and Ella, 5 months however who got the custody is not revealed yet. It seems Cynthia is having a great time after divorce as she was seen in New York, enjoying shopping, exercising and touring the city.

"She said everything is good and [she] feels relieved and pleased with how things were settled," says the source. "Cynthia had hoped to mend their differences and stay married, but when she saw that was not possible because too much had transpired between them, she wanted to settle everything and move on."
